AIGVR — AI-Generative Visibility Rate

AIGVR is one of the core CiteWatch metrics. It tells you, in one number, how often AI assistants actually mention you when asked relevant questions.

Definition

AIGVR (AI-Generative Visibility Rate) is the percentage of AI prompt checks that result in a citation of your brand or website.

How it is calculated

AIGVR = (number of AI checks that mention your domain ÷ total AI checks run for your account) × 100. For example, if CiteWatch runs 500 prompts and 75 answers mention your brand, your AIGVR is 15%.

How to read it

0–5%: AI assistants rarely mention you. 5–20%: you appear regularly but competitors dominate. 20%+: you are an established source in AI answers for your topic.
